I’m proud and a little emotional to share the cover of my new book, The Call I Almost Missed.

Endless thanks to my cover designer, Anna Dorfman.

Her work has graced the shelves of some of the world’s most recognizable authors (maybe you’ve heard of a guy named Stephen King 😉). It was an honor to collaborate with someone of her caliber. She didn’t just design a cover, she captured the essence of this story in a single, unforgettable image.

When I first saw the cover, it stopped me.

A phone, mid-sink, caught in a splash, suspended between drowning and release.

It perfectly mirrors what this past year has taught me: that sometimes, something in you has to go under so something deeper can rise. The phone isn’t just submerged. It’s being quieted. Cleansed. Let go.

Depending on how you see it, the phone might be drowning…or resurfacing. Both are true. For me, it represents breaking free from distraction and re-learning how to listen not just to my own life, but to God.

Even the detail of the incoming call screen, with its familiar red decline and green accept buttons, carries a strange kind of irony. Even underwater, the phone still tries to grab your attention. But here’s the truth:

You can’t answer what’s underwater. You have to come up for air first.

And that’s what this year became for me: a resurfacing.

The design is simple. Intentional. Uncluttered. Just like the silence that changed me. It’s not trying to shout. It invites you to pause. To breathe. To wonder what you’ve been missing beneath the noise.

As for the title, The Call I Almost Missed, it started as a play on words. But somewhere along the way, I realized:

The call I almost missed wasn’t from a person.

It was from Presence.
From love.
From God.

Not yelling. Not demanding. Just whispering beneath the static: Come home.

All year, I thought I was quitting my phone. But now I know, I was answering the call I’d been ignoring for years. God wasn’t shouting. He was whispering. And I couldn’t hear Him until I got quiet.

Thank you for following this journey. I can’t wait for you to hold this book, not because I want to impress you, but because I want to remind you: the real things in life don’t scream for your attention.

They wait for your stillness.

Stay tuned.

Presale and release date coming soon.
