I’m so excited for my wife and dad to read this.
Neither one of them know what I’m about to announce!
When I was a kid and for quite sometime after that, my dad was involved with the National Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
One day, when I was maybe 10 or 11, I asked him, “Hey Dad, why are you involved with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society?”
He responded, “Your mom and I decided that if you were born healthy, I would dedicate my time and resources to a charitable foundation. God forbid that if there were something wrong with you, we would be connected to whatever that organization/foundation was.”
I was born healthy and my dad started a 20+ year relationship with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
You see, I never set out to write a children’s book.
As I was preparing for speeches after the event, I only set out to answer a question:
“Hey Tommy, knowing everything you went through during your event, what allowed you to finish despite the difficulty and adversity?”
As you know, that question led to the children’s book on Amazon.
Any revenue from the book is money that was never planned.
Time to pay it forward.
On Christmas Day of 2021, my wife lost her mom, Carol, to glioblastoma, an incurable, aggressive form of brain cancer. It was a tough time for Andrea, her siblings, and her dad. It still is.
I’m humbled and honored to announce that all proceeds from Overcoming Any MOUNTAIN, will directly be donated to The Glioblastoma Foundation.
Whether I sell 100 or 1,000,000 copies, that money will now play a small part in ending a terrible disease.
Thank you to everyone who has already purchased or is planning on purchasing a copy of the book.
Dad: I always heard what you were saying about your involvement with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Now I understand.
